Venue 28

Venue 28, an impressive Grade II listed building, was built in Dutch style in 1898 for Beckenham Urban District Council by the architect J.A.Angel and builder T.W.Jones.

The building opened as Beckenham Technical Institute in 1901; became Beckenham & Penge Country Grammar school in 1931; Langley Park School for Boys in 1968 then served as an educational college until  2004.

Having remained unoccupied for several years, Venue 28 was carefully restored under new management over a 3 year period and re-opened to the public as an Events Centre in 2015.

The stunning architectural features have been retained including a grand entrance, sweeping balustrade staircase and large windows which bathe the interior with light. Decor is contemporary and neutral enabling our clients to work with our Events team to transform a ‘blank canvas’ to a personalised and bespoke event.

Venue 28 specialise in weddings, parties, corporate and community events offering various sized rooms (maximum capacity being 200 people standing) offering flexibility for space and budget requirements. We are also hired for use by film and location production companies.

We have built relationships with a select group of local independent companies who are able to work with us providing catering, floristry, marquees, furniture and props to create the right ambience for our clients’ events whether small or large.

With private and public parking areas surrounding the building, we are a short walk from Clock House Station which provides train services into London Bridge, Waterloo and Charing Cross.
