Sales Manager – Media Sales

Are you a proven media sales superstar manager? Perhaps you have driven your current media sales team to its pinnacle, smashed your team and individual targets and are now looking for a new challenge, more autonomy and the chance to really make a role your own? Or you may even have honed your proven sales management experience elsewhere and are looking for your breakthrough move into luxury publishing? Our award-winning company, which currently publishes successful Kent luxury lifestyle magazines and annual publications, is seeking a charismatic, fearless sales manager for our Kent media agency.

This is a unique opportunity to join a fun but professional company at an exciting time of expansion. You will need to be ambitious, organised, reliable, comfortable working on your own and self-motivated to manage your day to day schedule, but crucially have a strong team mentality, with the ability to coach, lead and manage a growing sales team to hit daily, weekly, monthly and annual targets and achieve their best.

Supported by the Company Directors, this is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to carve a managerial niche. Offering autonomy and scope for progression, the role will grow with the company and the candidate, allowing the right manager to take full ownership of publication sales strategy, whilst also offering a generous salary package and a supportive and fun working environment.

You will be an excellent communicator who can handle both face-to-face and telephone interaction with clients with ease, as well as being a gifted leader, able to share best practice examples and coach to achieve results. You should be well connected in Kent and be equally adept at developing new business contacts, maintaining existing customer relationships and driving the overall team to do the same.

As well as being target driven and ambitious, your ability to negotiate will be second to none, and you will back this up with good admin and IT skills. Your role will be varied including selling one-off features and repeat series bookings; relationship building with Kent businesses, attractions, and marketing professionals through cold-calling, networking and in-person meetings; sourcing leads; liaising with the editorial team to plan space; routine admin, email correspondence and invoicing; attending Kent events and meetings with the sales team.

‘Deadline’ is our middle name and the team never misses a target, so you will need to be ready to hit the ground running and prepared to reach the levels of success that you know you’re capable of.

– have excellent relationship management skills backed up by existing leads, clients and customers in the region
