Westwood Cross’ new dog park is now open

Westwood Cross Shopping Centre in Broadstairs, Thanet has opened a new dog park in partnership with local business Royal Hounds.

There’s a perfect place just for pooches to have some safe, off-leash fun! The park, located near Primark at Westwood Cross, offers a safe and secure environment for dog owners and dog walking businesses to use, and is complete with a woodland area, toys, and seating areas. There’s even a sensory area for those extra sniffers!

The park is secured by a 6ft fence, allowing dogs to interact safely and have extra fun making friends.

Maxine Hughes, Owner of Westwoods Dog Park, said: “Dogs are a big part of our families, and it was extremely important to me to open a park that offers safety and security for dogs while off-lead, and provide peace of mind for owners. I am so pleased to be working with Westwood Cross to provide this space, and we’re delighted with the feedback following our opening weekend.”

Francesca Donovan, Centre Manager at Westwood Cross, said: “Westwood Cross is a dog friendly shopping centre, and we are extremely pleased to be working with Royal Hounds to provide our very own secure dog park on site. The centre now offers a fantastic safe space for dogs and dog owners, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more dog families to the centre!”

The park is open 6am to 9pm daily with sessions available to be booked in advance online via the Westwood Cross website. Each exclusive 45-minute booking slot costs £15 for up to 6 dogs.
