What’s New in Pensacola, USA

Pensacola is continuing a year of major milestones with even more reasons to plan a trip to America’s Best Beach. From a reimagined downtown streetscape and new boutique hotels to culinary achievements and expanded air service, the Pensacola Bay Area is enhancing the visitor experience while celebrating the history, culture, and lifestyle that make the destination The Way to Beach™.

Boutique Hotel Openings

Pensacola’s lodging landscape continues to evolve with the addition of two highly anticipated boutique hotel properties opening in downtown Pensacola. Expected to welcome guests in mid-September 2026, Hotel Margot will bring a stylish new lodging option to the heart of downtown, offering walkable access to Pensacola’s restaurants, galleries, shops, and nightlife. The 45-room property, including three suites, will feature Café Collette, serving European-inspired breakfast and evening small plates, along with a pool, bar, and cabanas designed to create a lively social atmosphere.

Later in 2026, Hotel Tristan is expected to debut as Pensacola’s first upscale full-service boutique hotel. Located in the East Garden District, the seven-story property will feature more than 120 guest rooms, meeting and event space, an onsite restaurant, and a rooftop bar with views of downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Bay. Inspired by Spanish explorer Tristán de Luna, the hotel reflects Pensacola’s rich history while introducing a new level of accommodations for leisure and group travelers.

Pensacola Earns Its First-Ever MICHELIN Guide Recognition

Pensacola reached a major culinary milestone in 2026 as A Mano Panino became the first restaurant in the destination’s history to be recognised by the MICHELIN Guide. The honour comes during a landmark year for Florida, as the MICHELIN Guide expanded its coverage statewide for the first time. A Mano Panino earned a coveted Bib Gourmand distinction, an award reserved for restaurants that deliver exceptional quality and value.

The milestone was part of a broader wave of culinary accolades for the Pensacola Bay Area. Lucky Dough Pizza was named one of the world’s top pizzerias by the internationally recognized 50 Top Pizza rankings.

Reimagine Palafox: Pensacola’s $10 Million Main Street Renovation

Visitors arriving in downtown Pensacola will experience the transformed Palafox Street following the completion of the city’s $10.2 million Reimagine Palafox project. The project enhances one of Pensacola’s most iconic corridors with wider sidewalks, new landscaping, benches, bike racks, improved pedestrian crossings, and ADA-accessible infrastructure.

New Air Service Expands Access to Pensacola

Getting to Pensacola is becoming even easier in 2026. Pensacola International Airport (PNS) now offers service from seven airlines with 28 nonstop destinations, connecting travellers to major markets including New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, and Denver and making it even more accessible from the UK and Ireland.

With new places to stay, award-winning dining, improved downtown amenities, and expanded air service, Pensacola is continuing to invest in experiences that make it easier than ever for travelers to discover the destination. Whether exploring more than 465 years of history, relaxing along nearly 40 miles of sugar-white sand beaches, or discovering the local dining, arts, and outdoor experiences that make Pensacola The Way to Beach™.
