Whitefriars searches for new ‘faces’

Whitefriars has relaunched its popular model search competition with a broader range of entry categories. The Canterbury-based shopping centre is looking for individuals of all ages, couples and families to be its ‘Faces of Whitefriars’ 2020 and feature in its marketing activity over the coming year.

“Previous winners of the competition have gone on to model professionally, so this is a great way to gain experience, additional exposure and build your modelling portfolio”, says Whitefriars Marketing Manager Julie Holness. “This year we’d like to feature couples and families as well as individuals in three age categories. Winners will be invited to attend a series of photoshoots to be held in the city over the course of 2020. Previous competitions have attracted several hundred entries and, with the additional categories, we expect an even bigger response this time round.”

Winners will receive copies of their best pictures as well as £50 in Whitefriars vouchers for each photoshoot they are asked to attend. Their pictures will be featured in Whitefriars fashion guides, advertisements, posters, web site and social media.

Entries can be made online via the Whitefriars website (whitefriars.co.uk) and up to three recent pictures can be submitted. Closing date for entries is 29 February 2020 and, after review by a judging panel comprising retail, photographic and marketing experts, winners will be announced shortly afterwards.
